Hewitt Best Employers Study
The organizations participating in Hewitt's 50 Best Employers in Canada study represent a variety of industries, range in size from 300 employees to more than 33,000, and utilize very different people practices in their workplaces.
Hewitt designs and conducts the study using its proprietary methodology.The only participation requirements are a minimum number of of 300 employees and at least three years’ operation in Canada.
The study consists of three survey tools. One solicits employee opinions, the second asks for information on an organization’s HR practices, and the third seeks the perspective of the organization’s leadership team. Rankings are published in the January issue of The Globe and Mail’s Report on Business magazine.

The employees of the 50 Best Employers in Canada are significantly more engaged, according to the Hewitt 2005 Study findings. These employers are better able to attract and retain key employees, employees are more involved in the corporate goals, resulting in better financial returns.
